Why do Blogs exist?

I need to explain a bit better the reason why this blog exists so to clarify a few doubts arising from friends and office mates. This is NOT suppose to be a blog where philosophical discussions will take place (well at least not everyday...I like a good "philosophical" discussion once in a while). This blog is mainly for discussing the "subject-of-the-day", anything that comes through my or your mind, a place to exchange ideas about almost anything that go from books, music, travel, arts...anything!

Actually, my first intention was to make this blog a "community" where my friends could "meet", discuss about anything and everything and have fun!

Why Pythea?

The nickname "Pythea" was given to me by a special friend. His inspiration? The Pythia who was the priestess presiding over the Oracle of Apollo at Delphi, located on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. The Pythia was widely credited with giving prophecies inspired by Apollo, giving her a prominence unusual for a woman in male-dominated ancient Greece.


Now, what has that got to do with me? The important place that Greece will always have in my life and my (too keen according to him) interest in astrology.
